Luck Is Where Preparation Meets Opportunity...

A year ago, I attended an information session at a nearby community college to gain an understanding of their RN program. Having recently crashed and burned in my attempt at a career change, I was leery, but open-minded. Besides, my personality requires focused goals to keep going and this seemed as good a focal point as any at the time.

Between May of last year and December, while returning to the work I loved and that which sustained me for the last twenty years, I whole-heartedly dove into studying Life Span Psychology, Anatomy I, Anatomy II and Microbiology. Along the way I made some terrific academic success, connected with talented and passionate professors, and met incredible students ranging in age from "I could be your Mom" to "Wow...I'm not the oldest person in here."

Today, I opened my acceptance letter to the RN program commencing this September. I still have yet to tell my girls or my parents, and Vooch is none too pleased, but I am...Oh Yes I Am !
