Did You Win A Million Dollars?...

Not today, or yesterday, or any other day thus far in my humble and dusty existence, but this is a question that Vooch and I often ask upon greeting one another. I've always wondered what we would do with a million dollars and I've come up with a million ways to make our lives and those of our daughters, family and friends easier, more fulfilling or just plain off-the-chain wacky, materialistic and richly over-indulgent.

And as perfect timing would have it, my healthy, very-happy-today-but-sometimes-moody sixteen year old walked through the door: Home from a long day at school, excited about an 85 on a test in Spanish, a subject with which she's been struggling; Rosy-cheeked from Spring track drills under the exhausting tutelage of her coach who looks like a linebacker and also happens to be her Theology teacher; Satisfied with her weekly volunteer stint at the Greendale YMCA where she is making a difference though she doesn't realize it yet; Unapologetically wearing her older sister's boxer shorts regardless of the fact that she's been told, asked, threatened not to do so; and Safe from her first day of driving to school in her oldest sister's car who is home for Spring break and willingly using Nana's Buick bomber that in and of itself has been the subject of much cajoling over the past many months by the Duchess herself, and I think,

Yup, I be rich !
